HipHappy Habits
Being hip involves a whole way of perceiving and responding to our society.  It means being open and willing to change.  Hippies also want to do things their own way without any interference from others.  As I studied and reflected on the hippy movement I also began changing my own life for the better.

I have distilled the essential elements of a hip lifestyle and attitude into seven habits.  For each one, you'll find basic ideas along with some practical things you and your friends can do to have fun while doing good.

Consider this your roadmap to happiness and hipness.  Along the way we will all make this world a better world.

Research shows that the hipper you are, the happier you are.

From this review I have been able to develop a series of strategies and tools that anyone can use to become both hipper and happier.   I call these my "Seven Habits of Highly Happy Hippies."   I borrowed this notion from Stephen Covey in his book "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People."

In many ways it was "Back to the Future."  Most of these habits have their roots in earlier eras than the sixties.  Many of the habits are simply "good common sense," which unfortunately is not so common these days.  Please share your experiences and insights you have had when practicing any of these habits.  For further information, I have also included a discussion of why many of us are not as happy as we could be.
